The Astrox 99 Tour is designed to be as similar to the flagship Astrox 99 Pro as possible, but at a lower price point. With almost identical specifications to the Pro, the Tour is more affordable due to differences in the manufacturing process in Taiwan where it is made.
Still featuring many of Yonex's top of the range technologies like Namd which is used in the shaft of the racket, the Astrox 99 Tour is a highly competitive attacking players racket at a mid-range budget. Compared to the Astrox 99 Pro, the Astrox 99 Tour is slightly less head-heavy which makes it faster and easier to play with closer to the net and in the mid-court area, and there is a slightly difference in feel due to the lack of Solid Feel Core technology. Despite this, it is easy to recommend to players looking for a top of the range racket but are limited by budget, as it wields attacking players with the playability they need to dominate from the back of the court.
